The cost of a self storage unit depends on three main factors; unit size, availability and length of stay. To ensure you’re getting the best value for money, it’s important to determine how much space you actually need, which facility you want to store at and for how long.

STORAGE UNIT SIZE

At Pink Hippo, we have 18 different unit sizes to choose from. Our smaller units range from 25 sq ft to 50 sq ft and provide a cost-effective storage solution to clutter or small household items. For businesses that need a bit more space to store stock or residents completing large-scale renovations, we have large units that range from 100 sq ft all the way up to 215 sq ft.

AVAILABILITY

Once you’ve decided on a unit size, you’ll need to reach out to our friendly team to find out if it is available. If our facility has a couple of units available in your size, the cost will be significantly cheaper!

LENGTH OF STAY

At Pink Hippo, you can rent a storage unit for as long as you need, whether that’s a week or a year. You can upsize or downsize your unit by simply calling our team. With this kind of flexibility, you will never waste a dime on unnecessary or wasted space. We also offer great discounts at selected stores.

ADDITIONAL SELF STORAGE COSTS

Apart from your storage unit rent, there are a few additional costs that will be included in your quote, these include:

Refundable deposit (relative to unit size and length of stay). This is refunded after you vacate the unit via bank transfer.
Maximum security cylinder barrel lock – a once-off fee of £12.50 incl. VAT for a secure lock which you get to keep after your stay.
Insurance on the contents of your unit – choice of either insuring with Pink Hippo’s insurance at an additional cost (which will depend on the value of the goods and whether it is personal/household goods or business goods) or with your own third party insurance provided (proof of insurance required).
